Making Room for More Women
We have BIG news for you! One of our goals with our MAKE ROOM initiative was to establish a second home for women to transition into and work on the life phase of our program.
Thanks to a generous donor and grant funds, we were able to open a second home!
We are thankful to the Lord for opening a door for us to have a transitional home that will allow our qualifying moms a next step option as they reintegrate into life as working moms, while still under the Mercy House umbrella.
We have a two-year commitment to cover the rent through a donor and grant funds. This will allow us the opportunity to determine its success, longevity, and sustainability.
Two of our graduates and their babies have moved in.
In our current home, our clients grow emotionally and spiritually as they prepare for the birth of their baby.
For women who have already given birth, they are ready to move out of the maternity side of the program. They’ve already completed the job preparedness part of the program and are ready to walk that out. They are in a much different place than the women who are 7 to 10 weeks pregnant.
Our clients still have case management where they learn how to budget, save, take care of a home, and prepare themselves to really be on their own. They remain under the umbrella and covering of Mercy House with added responsibilities that will help them on the road to self-sufficiency.
We are so grateful our women will face the world renewed, restored and ready to walk in full assurance of who they are in Christ. Oh! And the best part…they’re doing it with their babies!
Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support! We are excited and thankful for the opportunity to provide our services to more women.
